It was with great sadness that we heard the news of the untimely death of Amy Black whose mezzo-soprano voice delighted audiences at Classics in the Park concerts for many years.
Amy had had major surgery for a hitherto undiagnosed heart condition, earlier this year, but had apparently made a good recovery and had started singing again.She had hoped to take up her international career again. Sadly this was not to be and she collapsed and died suddenly in November. Her funeral took place on Monday 7th December at St Augustine's Church, Hedon.
We send our condolences and best wishes to her parents, Neil and Linda and the rest of her family .
